The Horse Stick Guy Rode In On… WTF!?!

Okay. Today while reaserching state parks for a potential camping trip I came across the following icon…

Am I the only one who is taking issue with the three legged horse? It just looks… off. It seems like it should have two visible legs or four. Unless, perhapse that’s not suppose to be a leg… hmmm. That would bring the phrase ‘hung like a horse’ to a whole new level. Interesting. These DNR guys could be sicker than we realized people. Kept those tents zipped.

Oh and while on the subject let’s take a look at another horse trail icon.

What the heck is happening in this picture! The horse is much better now- but what is up with the guy? Why would you put an abstracted man on a realistic horse? Pick a style and stick with it! WTF!?!

Giving Them Hell in the STL…

So today Bobby and I went down to the St. Louis riverfront and took random pictures. The round ones I took with my versatile Lomo Fisheye (a.k.a. Mr. Crabs) and the rest were with my sassy Diana F+ (a.k.a. Mr. Pink) Here they are. Enjoy!

What’s up with that?

Why are people so fucking bastardly and rude? What did I ever do to you except try to be nice to you? Huh? Can you answer me that? Don’t judge me if you don’t even know me. Don’t take one look at my tattoos and write me off. Don’t expect me to fail just because I’m young and new at this. Give me a little credit here people. Give me a chance at least. WTF!?!

‘Orphanage’

Annabelle says: ‘Orphanage’ was surprisingly good! One of the better ‘scary’ movies I’ve seen for sure. It was original and that probably made it even scarier. It’s not often that you can’t guess the ending of a scary movie.

Annabelle’s rating: B+

Robert Says: I agree. I didn’t find it that scary but I thought the plot was original enough to make up for it. Don’t play in caves at high tides kids… it’s dangerous.

‘The Hangover’

Annabelle says:   Not bad. But not quite as funny as I expected honestly. I enjoyed the total randomness of the events but I spent most of the time worried about their missing friend… but that might have just been my mood at the time. I was thoroughly depressed. I don’t know. Hmm.

Annabelle’s rating: I’ll give it a B-

Robert says: This movie was slightly more enjoyable than a real hangover. Okay, it wasn’t that bad. I think Annabelle’s description is fairly accurate… I just expected more. (Although Mike Tyson is always good for a laugh-or biting your ear off!)

Is That a Jesus Bunny? WTF!?!

Okay- so today was weird. On a normal day Robert and I see at least one or two completely random and disturbing things… but today was exceptionally full of the bizarre. First of all… we found this…

Yes folks. That is a Jesus Bunny. This might be the most terrifying representation of a rabbit since Frank in ‘Donnie Darko’. Where do people come up with this stuff?

And the other strange stuff we saw today included (but was not limited to):

A half naked old man pointing angrily at nothing (and looking like he was about to kick whatever he saw standing there up the ass).

A man driving a car with a big blue helmet on his head.

At the library we encountered a woman who dragged her poodle in with her to check out books AND a man who was making some sort of mouth-fart symphony with his lips. It was loud and gross and WHY? YOU ARE IN PUBLIC SIR!

WTF!?!

‘The Room’

Annabelle says: ’The Room’ is easily the worst movie I have ever seen. Ever. The acting is horrific. The plot… there is none. The dialog, sets and score seem right out of a low budget soap opera. Words can not even accurately express how poorly made this movie is…

HOWEVER- I would definitely recommend you see this movie. You will be so appalled and amazed by how bad it is that you will actually enjoy it. Here are a few of the more memorable moments…

Yes. Awful. GAWD AWFUL. Yet so entertaining. How can it be so bad and yet so great? I have no idea.

Her rating: For the acting (especially the lengthy and disturbingly awkward sex scenes… and Johnny’s voice), plot, scenes, score and dialog: F-      For entrainment value: A

Robert says: One word: embarrassing. I am embarrassed for everyone involved with this production, I am embarrassed for having watched it and I am embarrassed to be talking about it. Let’s just pretend that this never happened, and let us pray there will never be a prequel. You fail, Johnny … you fail.

His rating: F-

‘Yella’

!Warning- Spoilers Below!

Annabelle says:  ’Yella’ is a German saga… but if you watch the first five minutes you’ve seen the end. Literally. Yella, the main character, is one of those stupid women you see in movies that just keeps following around her abusive hubby like a total loser. UMMM HELLOOO! HE IS AN ABUSIVE FREAK! YOU DON’T GET INTO CARS WITH ABUSIVE FREAKS IF YOU WANT TO LIVE! What does she think is going to happen? He’ll just be a nice guy and bring her to the train station so she can leave him? Uh huh. Riiiight. Good luck with that Yella. Why are you an idiot?

Her rating: Bleh… I give it a D- for utter ignorance.

Robert Says: I didn’t think Yella was THAT bad. It studies the complexity of human identities / relationships, etc. (as well as … other … stuff). I think. Anyway, I’ve heard Yella described as minimalist – which seems accurate – this movie is at least minimally enjoyable.

His rating: you get a C, Yella.
